An end-to-end financial transaction analytics project covering data cleaning, exploratory analysis, feature engineering, and an interactive Power BI dashboard to explore spending trends, transaction behavior, and fraud patterns.
The challenge
Raw financial transaction data needs preparation and context before it can support useful decisions. FinSight explores how to transform that data into a clear understanding of transaction behavior, spending patterns, and potential fraud indicators.
The approach
I followed a complete analytics workflow, starting with cleaning and transforming the transaction data. I then performed exploratory analysis and engineered meaningful features to support deeper investigation. Finally, I presented the analysis through an interactive Power BI dashboard, bringing together key performance indicators and visual insights.
Results & learnings
The project produced an interactive dashboard for exploring financial transaction activity. It demonstrates how data preparation, analysis, and visualization work together to support business intelligence, with an emphasis on interpreting patterns rather than simply displaying charts.
